Very excited to open a small studio /gallery in the Hampstead Antique and Craft Emporium in north London. I am looking forward to painting at least 3 days a week in the studio, and meeting lots of dog lovers who will be looking for something interesting to work in their interiors.
The lovely little Milo was an absolute joy to paint. Bringing out his cheeky personality was fun. As he is the resident pup in the cool Cafe NORTH AND TEN in Muswell Hill, it was only right that his portrait should hang in the cafe as his doppleganger!
Painting the gorgeous boy Prince at The Mayhews 'Tinsel and Tails' event was a real pre- xmas highlight. It was such a glamorous event with a serious amount of Bling going on in the doggy department. I loved seeing all the pampered pooches out on the town for the evening raising money for a fantastic organisation. It was great to meet up with the vet Marc Abraham and TV presenter Anneka Svenska both supporting the Charity. During the evening, I painted a picture of Prince who has been at the Mayhew for 6 months or more. Fingers crossed we have managed to raise his profile a little more!
Spent another nice day with the lovely Staff at Barkers in Wilmslow. Everyone was in a christmassy mood and this lovely little spotty chap turned up on the canvas. I met such a nice bunch of potential clients with some lovely creative ideas for their portraits. Can't wait to go back their and paint again soon!
I enjoyed painting at the fun filled evening raising money for the EastCheshire Hospice in Knutsford, Cheshire. Painting in a little black dress was a first! I met some great people and was really pleased to do my bit for a great cause. The painting of 'Bea' coming to life on the canvas went down a storm!
What a scorcher of a day we had at the All Dogs Matter dog show. The Borough of Hackney with their Dogs turned out in force to make it a really great event. I got to meet some cool owners and their dogs and I painted the gorgeous Lucy the Rescue cavalier to thank her and her owner Lisa for all their hard work they do highlighting the plight of puppy farming. All Dogs matter raised some money and some dogs were adopted which is the important thing!
Had a fantastic day at PUP AID 2016. Lots of like minded dog lovers came together to highlight the plight of puppy farming in the UK. The weather almost held out and fun was had by all the.
I painted the gorgeous Rio rescue dog Belihna from The Dogvine. She has such a fantastic character with an amazing look, that I decided to use a pallette knife to capture her uniqueness.
Had a great afternoon in the Piazza at the BBC on the BARKING HOUR on BBC radio London.
I was invited on the show to reveal the Painting of Jo Goods gorgeous dog Matilda that I started earlier on in the summer live on the show. During the the hour long show I also revealed the painting of the sound engineers lovely Yorkshire Terrier George. The Puppini Sisters delighted the listeners with their dulcit tones and there were lots of interesting doddytastic tips. A great afternoon!
Had a lovely time on Sunday live painting on the beautiful terrace of Gaucho in Hampstead.
The special Sunday lunch which is held the first Sunday of the month invites dogs and their owners to chill out together over a lovely Argentinian steak lunch. The sun was shining which meant that the canine pals made full use of the doggy paddling pool and toys that were set up on the terrace.
The staff were fabulous and made everyone feel very welcome. Look forward to doing it again!
Had a wonderful time at the Belgravia Dog Show in Belgrave square last weekend. The event was to raise money for the Dogs trust, so I decided to paint the lovely little rescue collie cross 'Leaf' who made an appearance early on in the show. I met the Chief Exec of the charity and suggested that he may want to hang it in his boardroom as it would tug on the heart strings of potential visitors and benefactors. Let hope Leaf finds his forever home soon.
