My most recent dog portrait stars the Queen's corgis which I was inspired to create by her Her Majesty's upcoming 90th birthday.
The Queen's Corgis Portrait
The majority of my portrait painting stars furry friends from far and wide. The main focus of this artwork is the canine world.
Dogs are the animal with the most variety in breeds and have an array of shapes and sizes to keep me busy. Bulldogs, terriers and shitzus all have taken my interest and the list doesn't end there.
My live painting has also seen me attending events with famous pooches as well as famous owners. This got me thinking.
Who is the most famous dog owner in Britain and the answer was obvious. The Queen of England is known as a dedicated pet owner. Her pack of corgis have long been housed alongside royalty.
In light of the Queen's 90th birthday I decided it was my patriotic duty (bit of fun) to paint the Queen's corgi. Now you can see the results (above).
I have since exhibited my dog portrait of the royal corgi in and around London over the past few weeks. I particularly enjoyed showcasing it on my main stomping ground in Hampstead, London.
As the date is fast approaching, the excitement is now mounting. I am packaging up this lovely painting and whisking it off to the palace for her Royal Highness. I hope she likes it!
Happy birthday Queeny!
